A Pragmatic Alternative

In keeping with Hamiltonian goal of centralization and a pragmatic approach to government emphasizing continuity and stability, I present a total alternative to the current separation of powers between executive, legislative, and judicial branches using a pure technocracy. Any further explanations will be posted in the near future.

At the National Level:

A 10 member Cabinet with nine voting members (minus the Secretary to the Prime Minister)

Prime Minister
Secretary to the Prime Minister

Minister of State: condensing Department of State and Department of the Interior)
Minister of Defense and Security: condensing Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, Director of National Intelligence, NSA, CIA, FBI, and Department of Veteran Affairs; minister would be the only Field Marshal (5 star general) and his/her deputy ministers (4 star generals) would be the heads of the military branches, therefore eliminating need for the Joint Chiefs of Staff
Minister of the Economy: condenses Office of Management and Budget, Department of the Treasury, Department of Commerce, Department of Agriculture, Federal Reserve, and Office of the U.S. Trade Representative; appears more like U.K. Chancellor of the Exchequer
Minister of Justice: no longer concerned with the FBI or law enforcement; ministry operates as a Supreme Court with the minister as Chief Justice and is responsible for national network of courts
Minister of Infrastructure and Housing: condenses Department of Transportation, Department of Housing and Urban Development, and most of the Department of Energy
Minister of Education: remains stand-alone to add emphasis to education
Minister of Health and Human Services: existing Department plus Office of National Drug Control Policy; strong link with Ministry of Science
Minister of Science: attaches old Department of Energy's laboratories to itself, adds the Environmental Protection Agency

At the Provincial Level:

Secretary of the Province (reports directly to the Prime Minister)

Regional Military Command
: a general with the regional garrisons and strategic forces who reports to the Minister of Defense and Security
Regional Court of Appeals: reports to Ministry of Justice

and essentially regional branches for every national level department except where unnecessary

At the Local Level:

Supervisor of the Municipality/City/Suburban Zone/Rural Zone (no more mayors or counties)

local branches of regional branches of every national level department except military command (separate garrison commands under regional military command within national Ministry of Defense and Security) and where unnecessary

Principle over Passion

To acheive the unification of the human race, we must not allow ourselves to be controlled by passions and impulses that cause us to become unstable and unpredictable. It is necessary to use logic to drive ourselves to the point of unified order, not decisions based on whims. A world without borders must not fragment itself over the needs of the few; it can't be built on a foundation of contesting personalities. To think alike is to cooperate and to cooperate is to advance. Only when we as a species work as one can advancement on a truly global scale can occur. Never again shall certain peoples lack the knowledge and technology to improve their quality of life. No vaccine, no invention, and no intelligence shall be hidden or prevented from being exchanged this species. We are one race, are we not? Let not the personal agendas of the corrupt hinder the march of the human race in history. Principles and goverenance will give us order and stability. Passion and impulse only lead to rash decisions. Strength is in the ability to act according to a set logical method of thinking. That is what lies at the foundation of the collective.

Standarization of Education

I have often wondered why each district is different from the one next to it, why schools within a district are different, and why there is variance between teachers teaching the same course in the same school. Does that not negatively affect a stusndet who is forced to move or a student whose class is changed due to a scheduling problem. Also, the difference in the quality of schools is unfair to those who live in a poorly maintained districts. Why must a child suffer from a lack of a full education just because he or she is born in an unwealthy area? Why must one nation's children be at a greater advantage than another's? Standarization must be implemented to make sure that no student must face the task of reconstructing his or her education from the ground up. It also eliminates uneven degrees of education across the nation and the world. Every region is entitled to just as much economic prosperity from the manufacturing and intellectual capacity of the next generation as the next. Standarizign education unifies one of the most important facets of our social-political-economic landscape. If the youth are unified, then perhaps when they are the main source of revenue and advancement their children will be unified too and so forth. Education brings forth the foundation of the collective.

Rise Imperialists!

The ends justify the means. -Machiavelli

Imperialism is one of the means to the ends of world unity. In the case of Western imperialism in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, imperialism brought millions of Asians and Africans under the banner of Western civilization. At the time, the West had superior industries, technology, militaries, and economies. If all the peoples of the world were subjugated by the West, then the social-political-economic environment would be much more efficient, tuning the goals of men towards that of unified advancement and adaptation. The core Western nations may have been seperated, but eventually one would be the strongest and unify the world. Of course, the stromgest nation is now the United States, but it has wandered away from its destiny to unify the world. This nation no longer seeks to bridge the gaps of all the peoples of the world. Its government exists for profit and the maintenence of the status quo. A new United Nations must emerge to purfiy nation goals and sentiments. One may argue that such an ideal involves discrimination but in a unifed world, discrimination would be unnecessary. If we were all the same; that is, members of the human race; then segregation would be a thing of the exist as lines between different classes, races, wealth groups, nations, and people in general would no longer have to exist. Yes, one group must use imperialism as the means to acheive the ends of the collective, the unity of all that exists as the human race.

Merging into the collective...

The Internet is perhaps the best collective conceived by humanity to date. By being uniformly based on the same foundation of technology, every website and blog is linked to one central origin. What we need is one central purpose, to focus the energies of our human intellects. That is the true march of history: to preserve ourseleves, we must unite in the advancement of this species to adapt that whatever we migth face. Once the Internet is a collective, perhaps the rest of what this species has created will do so as well. Thus, we might finally bring it upon ourselves to be more that individuals, trying to acheive our own personal goals. We will be one.
